While being interviewed by Portugal EVTours – Sérgio Costa’s Electric Vehicle Tours https://portugalevtours.com, with whom we have worked since 2018 (yes, we do have both Tesla and electric vehicle recharging stations at Tedo), I met Augusto Lima, a videographer. Today, together with Carolina Semrau, their company Camera with No Name, https://www.behance.net/camerawithnoname is preparing a series of seasonal videos for Quinta do Tedo.
Augusto and Carolina are examples of many 30 – 40 year olds today – hardworking professionals who make a concerted effort to balance work and free time. They are also a beautiful blend from different backgrounds – he, a Graphic Designer, is half Spanish and half Portuguese; she, an Environmental Engineer, is half Brazilian and German, and their effort to NOT take the fast lane in life and to savour every day (surfing included!) really intrigues and impresses me. They believe that video productions CAN be a great vehicle for a two-way dialogue, and inspire conversation “just like when we taste a good glass of wine”. We have many younger and older visitors like Augusto and Carolina today, from a diversity of backgrounds, who are not only looking for the work/free time balance but are also advocates for sustainability, concerned about climatic changes, and looking for a wine tourism experience where they can learn about the intricacies especially of Port making, and take a slower pace touring and tasting. We learn from you all!
Last harvest was the first part of the series – enjoy the 4-minute slower paced video that starts as the sun comes up, and documents a day in the vines, processing line, lagares, cellar, tasting room and Bistro Terrace. We are a small, family-owned estate, striving to be more mindful and sustainable;; we practice certified, organic viticulture since 2009. We also craft intimate, interactive and informational tours for visitors from all over the world, thanks to our amazing Team Tedo. We hope this video entices you to pop one of our Port or Douro DOC red wine corks and enjoy Tedo memories with every sip.
