A LONG-AWAITED PROJECT UNDERWAY: AN UNDERGROUND CAVE! We have run out of room for our tanks and barrels. The permit process required unrelenting patience and was obtained late 2016. As I write this blog excavation of a 75M/225' moves forward, machines picking away at the schist. Temperature and humidity are naturally controlled and consistent underground and the realization of this cave will be one of the first in the Douro Valley. The cave will respect the natural beauty of our property.
