Holiday Moments with Quinta do Tedo

Holidays should be a time to share - share time, company, food, wine, walks, fireplaces, smiles, and memories.

This holiday season, our Bouchard Family returned to our roots in Burgundy. We hosted our annual Holiday Tasting & Bottle Sale amongst Burgundian friends, family, and Tedo fans. We cooked up exciting meals and popped special Quinta do Tedo Ports and Douro DOC Wines to enjoy with our 99 year old Grandmaman Bouchard. We walked winter sunlit roads through vineyards, digesting beautiful scenery, moments and meals together.

Holidays should be that simple, but prove increasingly stressful, amidst all the shopping, cooking, organising, and travel distractions of our modern day “lives in the fast lane”.

Sharing Quinta do Tedo - essentially Douro Valley sunshine and tradition in a bottle, and our Bouchard Family’s and Team Tedo’s hard work and savoir-faire expressed in delicious delicious shades of rosé, ruby, garnet and tawny - is a failproof solution to slow down, sit back and enjoy simple pleasures this holiday season san stress.

In hopes that we all detach from our computers and phones, we’ll keep this short, with a visual recap of our best Holiday Moments with Quinta do Tedo, and wish you and your loved ones health, happiness and simple pleasures in the New Year to come!

Vincent, Kay, Paolo, Odile and Joseph Bouchard presented a full Port & Douro DOC wine line-up at our annual Holiday Tasting for #tedofans in Burgundy.

Porto Rosé Tonics - a little less than 1 part Porto Rosé and a little more than 1 part tonic water + a squeeze of lemon or lime, a few cubes of ice (+ your preferred aromatics - optional) - makes for an easy and elegant aperitivo.

Porto Tawny 20 Years with Poires belle Hélène and cassis sorbet.

Beautifully-aged Douro DOC Grande Reserva Savedra 2007 with Christmas Dinner - Moroccan spiced lamb, Quinta do Tedo Olive Oil mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, parsley-cranberry-caper relish and toasted almonds - cooked by the Bouchard siblings!

LBV 2013 (with or without a gingerbread almond cookie) as elegant dessert on its own, or LBV 2017 with chocolate Buche de Nöel; at Quinta do Tedo, we only lightly filter our LBVs, enabling them 10+ years aging in bottle (although, as all great wines, they are delightful to drink young!)

Porto Colheita 2006 with clementine syrup almond cake (recipe here), chocolate ganache and whipped cream.

An assemblage of French cheeses, terrines, pain d’épice and other treats to mix, match and choose your own adventure with our food-friendly Port, Douro DOC wines and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

We hope you enjoyed many a more moment with Quinta do Tedo this holiday season and thank you, as always, for your preference.
