2022 marks Quinta do Tedo's 30th anniversary - of course, we had to celebrate!
Friends, family, Team Tedo and past summer interns from all over the world gathered for a colourful Douro Valley weekend in Free Spirit costumes.
The Bouchard Family (owners of Quinta do Tedo since 1992) dressed as colourful birds in homage to our logo's mascot and our Tedo ecoreserve's biodiverse bird community.
On Saturday, July 30th, Vincent Bouchard led a tour of Quinta do Tedo’s historic ageing cellars and Underground Wine Gallery. Beneath our grapevine pergola and our light-strung courtyard, we dined and toasted to Quinta do Tedo all evening long. Dancing, fueled by Porto Rosé Tonics, followed suit until the wee hours.
On Sunday, July 31st, the Bouchards showed our guests around Douro via rabelo boat with a river dip halfway through. We shared a picnic of regional charcuterie and cheeses from Pinhão's famous Qualifer butcher, savoury-stuffed bread and apple pastries from nearby Armamar's bakery, and juicy melons and Douro's famous oxheart tomatoes from Régua's Saturday farmer’s market.
Some guests rested up while others enjoyed a tasting with our Team Tedo before our goodbye dinner at the Bouchards’ favourite traditional restaurant since 30 years, Cacho d'Oiro, followed by bumper cars at Régua’s annual summer fair.
It was an honour to celebrate the best of Douro and the fruits of the Bouchard Family's and Team Tedo's hard work and passion from 1992-2022 and many years to come.
Thank you all for your support along the way - Quinta do Tedo would not be the unique, heartfelt, quality and successful family project it is today without you!
Below - some photos from Saturday’s Free Spirit festivities for you to enjoy (preferably while sipping a glass of Port). Saúde!
