Quinta do Tedo and Família Geadas merge forces in Bistro Terrace’s Spring 2023 reopening!
Bistro Terrace was founded by brothers Paolo and Odile Bouchard in 2016 cooking out of their mother / Quinta do Tedo co-owner Kay Bouchard’s home kitchen and serving diners on the Bouchard Family’s private terrace overlooking Douro Valley.
Their idea? To provide Quinta do Tedo's B&B guests and tasting room visitors flavor-packed meals to accompany the Douro DOC wines, Ports and Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced at their family’s owned and operated estate in the heart of Douro Valley.
Since 2017, Bistro Terrace has moved to its current location - what we call our intimate, glass-walled “aquarium” perched on the lemon tree shaded terrace directly below our estate. Through 2017, managed by the youngest Bouchard sibling Joseph, and 5 more seasons under various talented and entrepreneurial Chefs and Dining Room teams, Bistro Terrace has become a delicious and memorable Douro Valley destination of its own.
On April 5th, Bistro Terrace reopened for a new and exciting season under Óscar Geadas and António Geadas. These Brigantino (from Bragança) brothers have been elevating Transmontana gastronomy in the national and international panorama - in 2019, their G Restaurante in Trás-os-Montes won its first Michelin Star.
From Bistro Terrace’s privileged dining room, overlooking Quinta do Tedo’s organic vineyard terraces, centenary olive groves and Tedo River Valley, an experience of flavor and senses comes to life. The Geadas and our Bouchard Families’ passion and knowledge for gastronomy and wine tourism complement each other and are exalted in each dish and wine pairing.
Quality products and producers from Trás-os-Montes are the pillar of Bistro Terrace’s new menu based on tradition and accentuated with creativity and seasonal products. The result? Harmonious, sophisticated and beautiful dishes full of flavor, heart and savoir-faire.
The menu is divided into starters, main courses (fish, meat, seafood, and vegetarian), and desserts. Of course, an exceptional wine list curated by sommelier António Geadas accompanies Bistro Terrace’s new menu and features Quinta do Tedo alongside other revered Portuguese producers.
Bistro Terrace will be open throughout the year, five days a week, serving lunch Wednesday through Sunday, and lunch and dinner Friday through Sunday.
